Bui Van Quang co-founded the Firm after more than 10 years of intensive legal practice with leading local and global law firms, including VILAF, Duane Morris and Nishimura & Asahi. He specializes in Corporate/M&A, Foreign Investment, Real Estate, and Telecom and Tech.

Quang is now overseeing Bui & Partners’ practice in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

He recently advised clients in several large-scale projects, notably:

  • Advising VimpelCom in formation of GTEL-Mobile network, the first joint-venture in mobile telecommunication sector in Vietnam;
  • Advising the State General Reserve Fund of Oman on the establishment of Vietnam - Oman Investment joint-venture with State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC).
  • Advising Sumitomo Corporation in the establishment of its third industrial zone in Vietnam, namely, Thang Long Industrial Park in Vinh Phuc Province.

In M&A practice, Mr. Bui recently advised

  • Vua Nem JSC in share issuance to Mekong Capital;
  • EPOMI in the private placement of shares to Phoenix Capital;
  • Viettel Global in strategic shares acquisition in a Haiti telecommunication company;
  • A Japanese company in the acquisition of shares in the local import and distribution company TOGICO;
  • HanesBrands in the acquisition of a textile plant in Hung Yen province;
  • A Japanese technology company in the purchase of shares in Amigo, a Vietnamese fintech company;
  • Ascott in the acquisition of equity in the joint venture that owns Hoa Binh Somerset in Hanoi;
  • A giant Japanese steel corporation in the ultimate share acquisition in a foreign-invested steel project company in Central Vietnam.
